Ew ew ew. So they're doing a new Street Fighter movie. Why? I have no idea. But I'm pretty sure if Lana Lang is in it, she'll fuck everything up for everyone else.

But on a note of coolness, Ryan Reynolds is Deadpool in the new Wolverine movie. Huzzah!

Also, sometime next week we're setting up for an art show for the drawing/painting majors, I'll update when I know more. I'm trying to get some stuff in, and it'll be downtown around the exchange district.

haha, oh boy, that'll be a real gut buster.

Ryan Reynolds in comic book movies is probably something I will give at least a tentative thumbs up to until I must rip my brain from my head in disgust.

There is a slim chance the new Street Fighter movie will make DOA look good by comparison. That says volumes.

Ryan Reynolds is not my ideal cast for Deadpool. That being said, I am not immediately opposed to him in the role. He's certainly shown he can be in a comic movie, be silly, and occasionally pull off something that's a tad impressive. I liked him in Blade 3. However, Deadpool's gonna demand more of all of that at a level I don't think I've ever seen him reach. It's hard to say how big the role is but there are certainly a number of fans watching this one with baited breath.

After all, we wouldn't mind a spin-off movie.

Well, its hard to say how much of an indication of his skills Hannibal Kane was, what with how that character is entirely different in the comics, and they basically just wanted comic relief. So.... from the perspective of him playing Porky Pig, I'd say he brought a lot more to it than that, but as for actually playing the character you think Deadpool should be.... prepare to blame a writer and/or director.

I'm always prepared to blame the writer/director. I dunno though. From what I've seen of Reynolds I get the feeling that he'd make a solid effort at playing Wilson. Whether he's capable of pulling it off is another story, but it's at least in the same direction as he tends to play.
